Path of Exile Item Upgrades
The performance of a variety of Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading their performance. They can be a good source of additional damage or more AD or even more affixes.

Weapons

To improve their skills faster, many players prioritise upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates use to boost their strength. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to enhance its effectiveness when accompanied by biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, enhancing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. Jewelry crafting is a method for making them, in which you combine gemstones with specific reagents in a jewelry table. The higher the level of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained around the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and, sometimes, by salvaging Legendary equipment. The Jeweler is able to create all tiers of gems, with the exception of rare and legendary ones that require certain levels to gain. item upgrading can be replaced by another one without damaging the original. However it is only possible to replace one jewel in an equipment piece once.
Using more jewels in the movement can make it feel more comfortable and is typically used to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. Apart from improving performance, the diamonds create a surface that is harder than metal, which means that repeated friction with pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.
In addition to the above-mentioned upgrades, the player can also acquire glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. Trinkets
Trinkets are small pieces of equipment that provide a wide range of small but useful advantages to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the beginning areas as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They may also be crafted by jewelers, and found or purchased from the Trading Post.
The first trinket a player will unlock is the cloak. It gives a small but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to evade. The player can then acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar manner similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with an upgrade slot that is either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades provide smaller bonuses and can be put into any kind of equipment while jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded, and is only compatible with specific types of trinkets.
These trinkets can also grant buffs and skills that remain active when the hero is not in combat. This enables the hero to be more effective when not active, and can also help to compensate for the absence of a solid team or the absence of any talent tree slots that would normally be filled with the hero's ideal statistics.
As a rule trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. Next, any items with desirable statistics that aren't as significant as the iLevel for the item that is to be upgraded. This is true especially if you're looking to upgrade several stats on an item. It's best to upgrade just one crucial stat instead of two subpar ones.
At the beginning of the game, junglers will usually want to upgrade their yellow trinket into a red one, while top and middle players usually choose the pink or green ward (depending on the game's matchup). These choices can affect a hero's ability to control the map.
Aside from the items listed above, players can also find a number of other trinkets in the game in the form of awards and trophies. These can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story.
